Project Description:
Cornell University purchased TMA to enhance the quality of service within their Campus Life department. Campus Life provides programs, services and facilities of exceptional quality to the Cornell community in the form of housing, community centers and dining. As a student-service centered team, the programs, services and facilities of Campus Life are designed to enhance the overall college experience, while staying committed to Cornell's emphasis on diversity, teaching, research and public service.
The Campus Life vision is to create an exceptional living and learning environment at Cornell. To make this vision a reality, Campus Life needs the talents, creativity and leadership of a dedicated staff that works together as one team. Acting together as one team with TMA as a management tool, they are able to perform their jobs effectively by providing the highest level of service and having the ability to communicate their message to the community.
The department of Campus Life is a self-supporting enterprise unit responsible for on-campus housing, conference services, two community centers, and the majority of dining services offered on campus. Cornell Dining manages 23 food-service units which include dining halls, a la carte facilities, convenience stores, vending, and Cornell Catering. On-campus housing provides accommodation for 5,534 undergraduates and 919 graduate students. (The total campus population is 18,428, which includes 13,294 undergraduates and 5,134 graduate students.)
TMA is utilized for the physical space referenced above. It serves as a collection and delivery point for routine, preventative, and project requests, as well as a tool to plan, prioritize, monitor and review work. TMA is also used as a measuring tool to evaluate performance of equipment and staff, and to track supplies, labor and material costs. TMA has been a successful tool for Cornell University, its students, faculty and administration.
TMA met the needs of the Campus Life Department and continues to grow with the Cornell University.
